How to service and repair the Coil Springs in the front suspension on 2010 Buick Lucerne?

In order to service and repair the coil spring in the front suspension, start by removing the strut from the vehicle. Finally, install the strut in the j 45400. The spring should be compressed as the strut moves without any obstruction; therefore, turn the spring compressor forcing screw to the extent that the coil spring is compressed. Utilize a 45 torx(R) socket to support the strut shaft while using the j-35669 to take off the upper strut mount nut. Once you remove the strut off the j 45400 you can then loosen off the compressor forcing screw and the upper strut mount and coil spring can be removed. Turn the spring compressor forcing screw to compress the coil spring once more before reattaching the coil spring and upper strut mount to the j 45400. Mount the strut to the coil spring and upper strut mount, and loosely attach strut retaining nut. Loosen the upper strut mount nut using a 45 torx(R) socket while holding the strut shaft with the j-35669 (to 75 Nm, or 55 lb ft). Finally, take out the strut from the j 45400 and put it back into the vehicle.
