How to replace the front brake line on 2010 Cadillac DTS?

You must securely raise the vehicle before starting to replace the front brake hose. Elevate the vehicle and take off the tire and wheel setup before you thoroughly clean all dirt and debris from both brake hose and pipe fittings. Seal the brake pipe end to control fluid losses and foreign matter. Using a flat-bladed tool you need to detach the brake hose retainer from the brake hose after you take off its fitting from the brake hose. Take off the brake hose from its bracket and caliper after discarding two stuck brake caliper or end gaskets made of copper during removal. To protect fluid loss and keep contamination out secure the inlet of the brake caliper. Also unscrew the strut assembly hose bracket bolt to remove the hose. To install the hose need to take out the plug of the brake caliper inlet port before adding new copper brake hose gaskets. Attach the brake hose bolt to new gaskets following brake hose alignment while preventing looped or kinked installation. Threads the brake hose onto the caliper bolt and tightens it to 40 nm (30 lb ft) with vehicles that come with jl9 and to 45 nm (33 lb ft) with j55 models. Install the brake hose with brackets before connecting the hose retainer and removing the cap from the brake pipe fitting. Firmly fasten the brake hose to the brake pipe while tightening at 18 nm (13 lb ft) before securing the hose bracket onto the strut assembly and bolting it with 17 nm (13 lb ft). After bleeds the hydraulic brakes you should install the tire with wheel and let the vehicle back down to ground level.
