How to replace the rear brake line on 2009 Cadillac DTS?

Before working on the brake hose start by lifting and stabilizing the vehicle then take off the tire and wheel components. Dispose of all dirt and imperfections from the brake hose and pipe connections by sealing the pipe end with a cap to avoid brake fluid spillage. Unfasten the brake hose retainer from the brake hose using a flat blade before taking off the brake pipe fitting from the brake hose. Discard the two copper brake hose gaskets that stick to brake caliper and brake hose end when you remove the brake hose from both parts. Use a plug to close the brake caliper inlet port and stop brake fluid from spilling out. To install the brake system use new copper brake hose gaskets while taking out the existing plug from the brake caliper's inlet port. Push the brake hose bolt through the new gaskets and brake hose afterward. Thread the bolt into the brake caliper unit where you should apply 40 nm (30 lb ft) torque strength for jl9 and 45 nm (33 lb ft) for j55. Also normalize brake hose alignment during installation. Mount the brake hose onto its bracket and fasten the brake hose retainer in place. Put the brake pipe fitting end cap aside and attach it to the brake hose before tightening it to 15 nm (11 lb ft). Do not drive the vehicle until you receive a stable brake response because brake failure risks arise from air in the lines which may hurt you. End the process by venting the hydraulic brakes then putting back the wheel and tire before lowering the vehicle.
