How to replace the driver or passenger seat belt in a Crew Cab on 2010 Chevrolet Colorado?

Disabling the SIR system must be the first step to replace the seat belts of the Crew Cab. To access the front seat belt upper guide shoulder bolt you need to remove the trim cover and then loosen the bolt. Before beginning disassemble the trim panel on the lower center pillar and pull out the front seat belt anchor bolt. First disconnect the electrical connector of the retractor/pretensioner before removing the bolt that secures the seat belt retractor/pretensioner assembly to the body structure. Take out the front seat belt assembly from the vehicle after its removal. The setting procedure starts with placing the rear seat belt retractor/pretensioner assembly into position on the vehicle body while observing fastener cautions throughout.
