Warm the rear door badge with a J25070 heat gun at 152mm (6 inches) distance while moving it in circles for 30 seconds before gently pulling the emblem away. Use a plastic tool to gently lift the emblem/nameplate from its position and remove all traces of glue from panel surface and backing with either 3M(R) P/N 07501 product or an equivalent. Wipe the damaged panel with soap and water before drying it with a soft fabric cloth. Clean the surface with 3M(R) General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner 08984 or similar product and wipe with a clean cloth before soaking with a 50/50 solution of isopropyl alcohol mixed in water. You need to lock both rear doors ahead of placing the installed item. Use masking tape or a magnetic strip to mark the ideal spot. Place the nameplate 47.5 +/- 2 mm from the vertical side and 200.5 +/- 2 mm from the horizontal edge on the right rear door. When placing the left rear door keep its bottom edge exactly 7.9 inches (+/- 0.1 inch) from the horizontal line and its right edge 1.9 inches (+/- 0.1 inch) from the vertical line. Use a J 25070 to warm the body part when the temperature is below 19°C (66°F). Apply double-coated 3M(R) Super Automotive Attachment Tape in colors such as 06380 white, 06377 black, or 06382 gray using an appropriate tape with standard tape 3M(R) Super Automotive Attachment Tape while being cautious to avoid touching the tape with your hands and keeping it away from dirt. Press the emblem/nameplate gently against the masking tape or magnetic strip area for 30 seconds on the right rear door. Then remove the tape to secure the emblem correctly.
