How to replace the Vehicle Speed Sensor on a Tremec 5-Speed (TZ0) manual transmission on 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500?

Before starting work on replacing the Vehicle Speed Sensor of a tz0 tremec 5-speed you need to properly elevate the car with suitable support. Disconnect the vss's electric connection and take out the vss together with the o-ring seal. Apply thin synchro-mesh fluid gm part p/n 12345349 canadian p/n 10953465 on a fresh o-ring before putting it into service. Attach the vss to its seal and tighten it to 16 nm (12 lb ft) with new o-ring seal lubricated. Connect the vss electrical connector back to its place then lower the vehicle.
