How to Replace and Install an Ambient Temperature Sensor in an HVAC System on Buick LaCrosse?

Before you replace the Ambient Air Temperature Sensor, remove the upper air deflector. Then, pull the retaining tabs to pull out the ambient air temperature sensor and remove the electrical connector from it. For installation connect the electrical connector to the ambient air temperature sensor, line the retaining tabs up on the bottom side of the sensor hole and push up to install the sensor into the vehicle. Finally, re-instate the upper air deflector.

How to Change the Ambient Temperature Sensor on a Buick Regal?

Start the replacement of the ambient temperature sensor by disconnecting its electrical connector from its position at the right front radiator air baffle. The ambient temperature sensor requires removal from its installation on the radiator air baffle through first disconnection of the push-in retainer and then extraction of the sensor itself. Place the ambient temperature sensor on the radiator air baffle before you secure it with the push-in retainer. Hook the electrical connector to the ambient temperature sensor and drive the vehicle at 32 km/h (20 mph) for one and a half minutes or 72 km/h (45 mph) for one minute to get the ambient update.
