  The first step to install the A/C Accumulator (ACDelco P/N 52474433) inside the a/c Evaporator tube (liquid line) between the condenser and Evaporator requires disconnecting the a/c line clip followed by opening the a/c line at its orifice location. Clean the a/c line with a cloth and place two 50.8 mm (1.99 in) separation marks on the line before cutting between the marks to install the accumulator. Avoid letting metal burrs fall into the line during this process. Remove the accumulator's o-rings from the in-line accumulator while avoiding their installation at this point and prepare the cut locations by deburring them together with the nuts and ferrules before proceeding. Apply the nuts and ferrules onto each end of the liquid line with their small ends facing the nuts. You should position the liquid line inside the accumulator until it rests at the bottom then repeat this installation for both ends. The a/c line will be flushed of the accumulator as both nuts receive tight fasteners before extracting the accumulator. Apply 525 viscosity oil to the o-rings before placing them onto the a/c line. Set the arrow of the accumulator unit toward the Evaporator while maintaining the liquid line at its bottom position then tighten the nuts to 15 n.m (11 lb ft). Install the a/c line at the orifice point while applying torque of 24 n.m (18 lb ft) before inserting it into the retainer clamp. The a/c system gets evacuated after which the recharging process takes place following a leak test on the accumulator fittings and the orifice location through the halogen leak detector (J 39400-A).
