Start by supporting the vehicle and remove the wheel followed by the tire to replace the
Rack And Pinion outer Tie Rod End. Begin by loosening the outer tie rod retaining nut. After that disconnect the outer tie rod from the
Steering Knuckle using the steering linkage and tie rod puller (J24319-B). Steadfastly avoiding driving wedges into the joint attachment area will help protect the seal. After loosening the jam nut you should take the outer tie rod out from the inner tie rod . Make sure to dispose of the jam nut so it doesn't get reused. Check the shaft for thread damage and eliminate any debris from the knuckle's tapered surface. Apply proper chassis lubricant to the inner tie rod threads before installing the new outer tie rod. Use new jam nut to secure the outer tie rod before connecting both rods to the Steering Knuckle and closing the mount. Following all steps, place the new outer tie rod retaining nut on before tightening it to 60 nm (44 ft. Lbs.). Afterward, install the wheel and tire, drop the vehicle, then execute a front toe adjustment.
