How to replace the canister purge valves on Cadillac SRX?

To replace evaporative emission canister purge solenoid valve, loosen system pressure by unscrewing fuel cap, then withdraw fuel injector sight shield. Disconnect the evap canister purge valve electrical connector and the evap purge pipe from the evap canister purge valve. Take out the retaining bolt, and remove the evap canister purge valve from the water housing. In the process of installing the new valve ensure that you use the new o-ring that is lubricated using the clean engine oil. Mount the evap canister purge valve over the water housing and clamp it with a retaining bolt that is torqued to 12 n.m (106 lb in). Reconnect the evap purge pipe and the electrical connector and, finally, reinstalled the fuel injector sight shield.
