How to replace the Knock Sensor (KS) 2 on Chevrolet Camaro?

Knock Sensor (KS) 2 replacement starts with draining the cooling system because hot engine coolant causes burns and some coolant remains inside the engine water jacket. Unplug the wiring harness connector from the knock sensor while you remove the sensor from the engine block. The installer must avoid applying thread sealant to sensor threads because the sensor arrives factory-coated so additional sealant will reduce its detonation detection capability. Start the knock sensor by hand into its correct position inside the engine block before tightening it to 14 lb ft (19 N.m). Connect the wiring harness first before you install the sensor onto the engine block then fill up your cooling system.
