A proper replacement of the output speed sensor requires the disassembly of the battery tray. You need to disconnect the electrical connector from the output shaft speed sensor before removing the output speed sensor bolt and both the output shaft speed sensor and O-ring. The new output speed sensor O-ring requires GM T-IV Automatic Transaxle fluid GM P/N 88900925 for application before sensor installation. Follow the fastener notice while inserting the output speed sensor into the transmission case assembly and then apply torque of 6 N.m (53 lb in) to the output speed sensor bolt during installation. To finish the procedure install the battery tray and reconnect the electrical connector to the output shaft speed sensor.
