How to replace the Engine Mount Bracket on Chevrolet Impala?

The procedure to replace the Engine Mount Bracket starts with disconnecting the Battery Cable then removing four key components: throttle body air inlet duct, engine mount struts, and raising and securely supporting the vehicle. Proceed by removing the three-way catalytic converter pipe which connects to the right Exhaust Manifold along with the right front wheel along with its tire and the right engine splash shield. The installation requires securement of the engine support adapters (J28467-9OA) with the engine support adapter leg set (J36462-A) and universal engine support fixture (J28467-B) to raise the engine after removing the Oil Pan bolts from the Engine Mount Bracket. The first step requires removal of engine mount upper nuts before detaching the Engine Mount Bracket from its mount position. When installing the Engine Mount Bracket attach it to the engine mount first by tightening upper nuts to 47 nm (35 ft. Lbs.) then secure it with the Oil Pan to final tightening at 58 nm (43 ft. Lbs.). The technician should lower their position and engine and support them properly before mounting the right engine splash shield and right front wheel and tire. You should reconnect the three-way catalytic converter pipe to the right Exhaust Manifold and lower the vehicle before adding the engine mount struts along with reinstalling the throttle body air inlet duct before completing the installation with the battery ground cable.
