Make sure to have these tools ready: valve spring compressor adapter (EN-47823),
Spark Plug port adapter (J 22794), and valve spring compressor (J 5892-D) if you want to service and replace the Valve Stem Oil Seal and valve spring. The required tools are the valve spring compressor adapter (EN-47823), spark plug port adapter (J 22794). Start by setting the piston at tdc on the engine, so the valve does not fall into the cylinder. Before taking off the Spark Plug, loosen it and clean around the area. Remove the Spark Plug first, and then the
Rocker Arm. Put the Spark Plug port adapter (J 22794) into the Spark Plug port and direct compressed air to keep the valve in place. Compress the valve spring with the valve spring compressor (J 5892-D) and the valve spring compressor adapter (EN-47823). Take out the valve spring cap keys, remove the valve cap, set aside the valve spring, and take off the Valve Stem Oil Seal. Use clean engine oil to lubricate the valve stem, then insert the Valve Stem Oil Seal, putting the black one for intake and the brown one for exhaust. Put the valve spring and valve cap back in, then compress the valve spring again using the valve spring compressor (J 5892-D) and the valve spring compressor adapter (EN-47823). Insert the valve cap keys, applying grease if you have to, and double-check that each one is fully inserted. Remove all of the compressed air and then take the Spark Plug port adapter (J 22794) out. The last step is to install the Rocker Arm and the Spark Plug.
