Chevrolet Monte Carlo Sway Bar Link Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to service the front sway bar link on Chevrolet Monte Carlo?
A: The first step to service the front sway bar link is to correctly support and elevate the vehicle. The tire and wheel assembly should be removed first before the sway bar link bolt and nut are undone to extract the sway bar link from the vehicle. When installing the sway bar link into the vehicle maintain strict adherence to the Fastener Notice described in Service Precautions. Fasten the sway bar link bolt to the nut then tighten it to 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.). Complete the process by first reinstalling the tire with its wheel assembly then lowering the vehicle.
