How to service the Throttle Position Sensor on Chevrolet Monte Carlo?

In order to service the Throttle Position Sensor, remove the injector sight shield and then remove the tp sensor electrical connector. Next, one must take off itself the two tp sensor attaching screws, and thus taken out the tp sensor. For installation, mount the tp sensor on the Throttle Body assembly and use loctite 262(R) (GM Part No.1052624) or any other equivalent thread-locking compound on the tp sensor's two attaching screws and tighten them to 2.0 n.m (18-lb in.). Once you have secured the screws, reconnect the tp sensor electrical connector and reinstall the injector sight shield.
