How to service the Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch for the computer on Chevrolet Monte Carlo?

To service the Coolant Temperature Sensor/switch (For Computer), you should first: turn off the ignition, drain the Radiator coolant. Next, unplug the exhaust crossover pipe and also unplug the ect sensor electrical connector before pulling the ect sensor. For installation, hand start the ect sensor into the engine with it being tightened to a 30 n.m (22 lb ft). Then you connect the ect sensor of the electrical connector of the exhaust crossover pipe, the fill the Radiator and install the exhaust crossover pipe. Finally, check for leaks and the level of coolant in the engine by starting the engine. The engine Coolant Temperature Sensor must be handled with care because any damage to it will prevent the normal functioning of the fuel injection system.
