    Q:
How to service the Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer) on Buick Regal? Posted by Customer
    A:
The Coolant Temperature Sensor/switch (For Computer) service will be done first by making sure that the ignition is off and draining the Radiator coolant. Unplug the ect sensor electrical connector, use a 19 mm deep well socket and extension and remove the ect sensor. For installing, inserting, gently start the ect sensor into the engine and fix it with a tightening force of 30 n.m (22 lb ft). Reconnect the electrical connector and refilling the Radiator with coolant. Turn on the engine and inspect for leaks, and then visually confirm the level of coolant.

    Q:
How to service the Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch for the computer on Chevrolet Lumina? Posted by Customer
    A:
To service the Coolant Temperature Sensor/switch (For Computer) should first turn off the ignition and release the coolant pressure. Loose the 2 air intake duct clamps and remove the air intake duct then disconnect the ect sensor electrical connection. Chewing gum but not fully covering it, ugly when realized... Using a deep well socket and extension, take out the sensor. For installation, apply a sealer p/n 9985253 or equivalent on the engine Coolant Temperature Sensor threads before installing them into the engine while tightening to a 23 nm (17 lb ft). Connect ect sensor electrical connector, re-install the air intake duct, and screw in the 2 air intake intake duct clamps. Turn on the engine to find leaks and ensure the level of the coolant.
