Secure the bolts at 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.) using proper torque after you rotate the tool to match the upper locator pin with the switch top slot. The j 41364-a must be removed from the switch before you remove the positive assurance bracket when necessary. After installing the transmission control lever onto the manual shaft you must tighten the nut to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.) before reconnecting the pnp switch electrical connector. A 4wd-equipped vehicle would require reinstalling the front propeller shaft followed by vehicle lowering for testing the switch in park (P) and neutral (N) positions.
