How to replace the Camshaft Position Sensor on Chevrolet Uplander?

The first step to replace the Camshaft Position Sensor requires removing the Power Steering Pump. Remove the cmp sensor electrical connector before removing the sensor bolt and then the sensor from its position. Before reinstalling the sensor check its o-ring for damage along with any signs of leakage or wear and cracks when the sensor will not be replaced. The cmp sensor installation requires a new o-ring with clean engine oil lubrication before installation. Screw in the cmp sensor bolt while tightening it to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Reposition the cmp sensor electrical connector afterward installing the Power Steering Pump.
