How to replace the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor on Chevrolet Uplander?

An appropriate method should be employed when draining the cooling system before changing the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor. The intake manifold cover and exhaust crossover pipe must be removed when necessary. The Engine Coolant Temperature sensor electrical connector needs disconnecting before removing the ECT sensor. New ECT sensor installation requires sealer GM P/N 13246004 (Canadian P/N 10953480) or an equivalent product to coat the threads before installation. Reconnect the ECT electrical connector after securing the ECT sensor with 20 N.m torque (15 lb ft torque). If you took off either component replace it after the installation. To complete the procedure add coolant through the designated filling process.
