  A: The first thing to do for replacing the Vehicle Speed Sensor is to raise and support the vehicle. Start by taking off the right front tire and wheel, then take off the right engine splash shield. Remove the Vehicle Speed Sensor wiring harness connector first, and afterwards take out the Vehicle Speed Sensor bolt and the sensor from the extension case. Take care when handling the Vehicle Speed Sensor and pull out the o-ring seal . Make sure to check the Vehicle Speed Sensor and o-ring seal for any broken connectors, a cracked housing, signs of rotor damage, or cuts or nicks on the o-ring seal . The first step for installation is to put the o-ring seal on the Vehicle Speed Sensor, and then install the sensor into the extension case. Put in the Vehicle Speed Sensor bolt and tighten it with 12 n.m (106 lb in) of torque. Afterwards, attach the Vehicle Speed Sensor wiring harness connector, put the right engine splash shield back, and fit the right front tire and wheel. Finally, lower the vehicle.
