The bracket replacement procedure must follow two steps according to bracket connection type: replace the bracket when it is bolted and replace the entire jacket assembly when it is welded. A measurement of the lower edge of the upper jacket to a specified point on the lower jacket should be performed to detect jacket assembly collapse where the replacement of the defective jacket assembly is necessary.
