How to Properly Service and Replace the Turn Signal Switch on GMC Canyon?

Begin replacing the Turn Signal Switch by taking off both the Steering Wheel and its trim covers. Take off all electrical connections and remove the wiring from its retainers when required. You need to take out the bolts holding the Turn Signal Switch to the steering column before easing it off. Keep the centering tab attached to the new Turn Signal Switch before installation to prevent misalignment. Install the switch in its correct position before placing it on the steering column. Install the Turn Signal Switch on the steering column then fasten its bolts until they reach 7 n.m (62 lb in). Pass the wiring harness along the steering column then connect all electrical connections and fix the wiring harness in place. Unfasten the centering tab last and put back the Steering Wheel and trim covers once you secure the steering column trim covers.
