How to replace the left engine mount on GMC Envoy?

A technician should perform these steps to replace a left Engine Mount starting with vehicle elevation and wheel-tire removal. First remove engine shield components together with the lower intermediate Steering Shaft if it is present. Support the engine using a jack stand with a block of wood before removing the through bolt that connects the mount to the frame bracket while the right side through bolt remains loose. The next step requires removal of the heater pipe bracket bolt from the Engine Mount followed by engine elevation with a jack stand to achieve one-sided tilt. Begin by removing all Engine Mount bolts until the mount can be extracted when needing extra reach for removal. The new Engine Mount installation requires a starting step where you should position the first bolt and then move forward with mounting procedures. Both Engine Mount bolts should reach a torque value of 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.) before engine lowering happens. Install the Engine Mount-to-frame bracket through bolt at 85 nm (63 ft. Lbs.). After installing the engine coolant pipe bracket bolt from the Engine Mount, users need to remove the jack stand before reinstalling the lower intermediate Steering Shaft followed by the engine shield and wheel and tire assembly during vehicle lowering.
