    Q:
How to replace the LH engine mount and engine mount bracket on Buick Rainier? Posted by Customer
    A:
A technician should start by disconnecting the negative Battery Cable for left engine mount and bracket replacement. Start by removing the cooling fan and by detaching the electrical components and retainer of the manifold absolute pressure sensor and finally removing the sensor itself. The left shock module should be extracted before removing the frame mount. Move to the right and left upper engine mount nuts after which you should raise the vehicle before taking out the right and left lower engine mount nuts. Place the jack on top of the Oil Pan but avoid damaging the oil level sender. The crew settles the vehicle at a lower position while placing a jack onto the Oil Pan along with wood blocks before lifting the engine until the mount stud becomes visible. Start by detaching the left engine mount from its bracket while proceeding to remove both bolts securing the left engine mount bracket and finally extracting the bracket itself. You should first take out the left frame engine mount bracket bolts along with its bracket whenever it proves essential. To install the left frame engine mount bracket keep it in position and fasten the bolts with recommended torque of 110 n.m (81 lb ft). Next you must install the left engine mount bracket before tightening its bolts to 50 n.m (37 lb ft) followed by setting the left engine mount onto the bracket. Young the motor down until it rests on its mounts before screwing right and left upper engine mount nuts to 70 n.m (52 lb ft). Set the vehicle at an elevated position then eliminate the jack before implementing the engine protection shield using bolts for attachment. Right and left lower engine mount nuts should now be installed before torquing them to 70 n.m (52 lb ft). The vehicle can then be lowered. Install the left shock module together with the MAP Sensor , map sensor retainer and electrical connector into place. The procedure ends with connecting the cooling fan hub nut to the water pump shaft before installing the cooling fan while also reconnecting the negative Battery Cable.

    Q:
How to replace the Motor and Transmission Mount for the 4.2L engine on Buick Rainier? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step in replacing the 4.2l transmission mount involves lifting the vehicle and positioning a transmission jack under the component. Unbolting the nuts that connect the transmission mount to the transmission support will allow you to extract the transmission support out of the vehicle. The process starts with removing transmission mount bolts (1, 2) and the bolt which joins the transmission mount to the Exhaust Hanger before separating the transmission mount from the Exhaust Hanger for removal. Attach the transmission mount to the Exhaust Hanger bracket before securing it with a bolt to 30 n.m (22 lb ft). Use bolts (1, 2) to fasten the transmission mount to the transmission components at 65 n.m (48 lb ft). Replace the transmission support while you eliminate the transmission jack from service. The last step involves tightening nuts on the transmission mount to the transmission support until torque reaches 46 n.m (35 lb ft) before lowering the vehicle.

    Q:
How to replace the Motor and Transmission Mount on Chevrolet Trailblazer? Posted by Customer
    A:
Before replacing the transmission mount, you should raise the vehicle and use a jack to hold up the transmission. Take off the nuts on the transmission mount that are attached to the transmission support, then take the transmission support off the vehicle. Now, take out bolts (1, 2) and remove the transmission mount from the vehicle. The first step is to put the new transmission mount in place, but be sure to follow the directions in the fastener notice section. Put the bolts (1, 2) through the transmission mount and tighten them until you reach 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). Put the transmission support back onto the vehicle and remove the transmission jack after that. After that, screw on the nuts to the transmission support and tighten them to 46 nm (35 ft. Lbs.) before you put the vehicle back on the floor.

    Q:
How to replace the LH engine mount and engine mount bracket on Chevrolet Trailblazer? Posted by Customer
    A:
The replacement process starts by disconnecting both the Fan Clutch electric connection and negative Battery Cable. The j 46406 (Fan Clutch Remover and Installer) will extract the cooling Fan Clutch from the Water Pump Pulley so it becomes loose inside the Fan Shroud. Start by disconnecting both the electrical connector from MAP Sensor retainer then taking out the MAP Sensor from the system. The left shock module should be taken out before the frame mount removal procedure begins. Raise the vehicle after removing the right and left upper engine mount nuts then uninstall the right and left lower engine mount nuts. The jack must be set on the Oil Pan carefully while avoiding damage to the oil level sender plus removal of the engine protection shield needs to happen. Use a floor jack with wood support to reach the Oil Pan while the vehicle rests on the ground. Increase the engine height enough to free the engine mount stud. The first step involves removing the left engine mount to bracket nut and then extracting both the mount and the bracket from the nut. After that the technician removes the left engine mount bracket bolts before uninstalling the left engine mount bracket. Disassembly of the left frame engine mount bracket bolts and its bracket can occur when necessary. Start the installation process by installing the left frame engine mount bracket whenever necessary then bolt it securely before torquing bolts to 110 n.m (81 lb ft). The left engine mount bracket needs to be secured with bolts before tightening them to 50 n.m (37 lb ft). First position the left engine mount on its bracket then place the engine onto the mounts before fixing the right and left upper mount nuts to 70 n.m (52 lb ft). After lifting a vehicle one must remove the jack then set the engine protection shield in position before securing it with bolts. Position the right and left lower engine mount nuts before torquing them to 70 n.m (52 lb ft) then lower the vehicle. The installation process ends with left shock module attachment and placement of MAP Sensor and MAP Sensor retainer along with its electrical connector and usage of the j 46406 (Fan Clutch Remover and Installer) to secure the Fan Clutch to the Water Pump Pulley followed by connecting the Fan Clutch electrical connector before reconnecting the negative cable.

    Q:
How to replace the Motor and Transmission Mount on a 4.2L engine on GMC Envoy? Posted by Customer
    A:
The process begins by raising the vehicle and using a jack to maintain the transmission stable. Start by removing transmission mount securing nuts between the transmission mount and support. Afterwards remove the transmission support from the vehicle. You must disconnect the transmission mount bolts (1, 2) as well as the bolt between the transmission mount and Exhaust Hanger so you can extract the mount fully. The installation process requires attachment of the transmission mount to the Exhaust Hanger bracket using a bolt which has to be tightened at 30 nm (22 ft. Lbs.). Use bolts (1, 2) to fix the transmission mount to the transmission body while tightening until torque reaches 65 nm (48 ft. Lbs.). Reinstall the transmission support, remove the transmission jack, and secure the transmission mount to the transmission support with nuts, tightening them to 46 nm (35 ft. Lbs.) before lowering the vehicle.

    Q:
How to replace the left engine mount on GMC Envoy? Posted by Customer
    A:
A technician should perform these steps to replace a left Engine Mount starting with vehicle elevation and wheel-tire removal. First remove engine shield components together with the lower intermediate Steering Shaft if it is present. Support the engine using a jack stand with a block of wood before removing the through bolt that connects the mount to the frame bracket while the right side through bolt remains loose. The next step requires removal of the heater pipe bracket bolt from the Engine Mount followed by engine elevation with a jack stand to achieve one-sided tilt. Begin by removing all Engine Mount bolts until the mount can be extracted when needing extra reach for removal. The new Engine Mount installation requires a starting step where you should position the first bolt and then move forward with mounting procedures. Both Engine Mount bolts should reach a torque value of 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.) before engine lowering happens. Install the Engine Mount-to-frame bracket through bolt at 85 nm (63 ft. Lbs.). After installing the engine coolant pipe bracket bolt from the Engine Mount, users need to remove the jack stand before reinstalling the lower intermediate Steering Shaft followed by the engine shield and wheel and tire assembly during vehicle lowering.
