To change front Brake Disc, start by removing brake caliper without removing the brake hose from the caliper. Try and hang the caliper up with a piece of wire to avoid harming your flexible brake hoses. Then, take out the
Brake Pads (JC1 System) and bracket of the caliper. Discard the sheet metal retainers (UC1 System) and remove the
Wheel Bearings (JM3 System). Next, remove the disc and check and clean all parts, replacing them if needed. If needed, refinish the disc. For installation, clean the hub flange using the hub cleaning kit (J 42450-A); when cleaning hub flange, make sure that all rusts and foreign materials are removed as this can cause the lateral runout to shoot up and there may be brake pulsation. Next, install the wheel bearings (JM3 System); next, disc, caliper bracket, and brake pads (JC1 System), and finally, reinstall caliper.
