Starting the tp sensor repair process begins with disconnecting the battery's negative cable and iat sensor harness connector before removing the breather tube from the air cleaner outlet duct and the wing nut that holds the air outlet duct. To begin the maf sensor outlet clamp must be unfastened while using a flat blade screwdriver to raise the air cleaner outlet duct from the Throttle Body to remove the entire assembly from the maf sensor. First disconnect the tp sensor harness connector then remove the Throttle Body component afterward detach the mounting screws from the tp sensor while maintaining the tp sensor dry from liquid cleaners to prevent harm. Push out the tp sensor that sits in the Throttle Body assembly. When installing the Throttle Position Sensor start by closing the throttle valve then place the sensor over the throttle shaft before aligning the mounting holes between the sensor and Throttle Body. Clean threading on mounting screws before applying thread lock material gm p/n 1052624 or equivalent to screws for installation at 2.0 n.m (18 lb in) torque.
