How to replace the hood latch on GMC Savana 1500?

The first step to replace the Hood Latch involves enabling the hood's lift by support while marking the positions of the Hood Latch and fasteners. You must first detach the Hood Latch retaining bolts from the radiator support before extracting the Hood Latch from this location. Divide the Hood Latch from its connection with the hood release cable. The hood release cable connects to the Hood Latch before placing back the Hood Latch onto the radiator support. Start by putting the bolts on their respective places but leave them untightened first. Position the Hood Latch and fasteners according to the existing marks while adjusting the Hood Latch through left and right movements until the hood striker can easily connect to the latch. Next adjust the height of the Hood Latch and front hood bumpers to achieve smooth top alignment with the fenders. Close the hood then secure the bolts which hold the Hood Latch to the radiator support at 15 n.m (11 lb ft) torque.
