How to replace the engine oil and oil filter on GMC Savana 1500?

The vehicle needs to be raised before starting the oil replacement process. Before proceeding remove the Oil Pan Drain Plug to drain engine oil into a proper receptacle. After you remove the engine Oil Filter you must verify that all material from the engine Oil Filter gasket has been eliminated. The new engine Oil Filter requires clean engine oil for lubrication before installation according to the tightening instructions provided by the manufacturer. Replace the Oil Pan Drain Plug inside the Oil Pan while applying torque of 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). Fill the engine with the correct amount of quality oil after lowering the vehicle. To complete the procedure conduct engine operation along with leak and oil pressure inspection.
