How to replace the hood latch on GMC Savana 2500?

A hood replacement procedure starts with supporting the hood in an elevated position before marking the Hood Latch position and its fasteners. Detach the bolts which hold the Hood Latch to the radiator support before removing the Hood Latch from this support. The hood release cable should be detached from the Hood Latch first. The hood release cable needs to attach to the Hood Latch before you can set the Hood Latch properly on the radiator support. Fasten the radiator support Hood Latch bolts in place without applying torque to them. Set the Hood Latch and fasteners directly on marked positions before adjusting the Hood Latch laterally to make the hood striker align with the latch. Perform vertical adjustments on both the Hood Latch and front hood bumpers until the hood tops match the fenders. Proceed to fasten the Hood Latch radiator support bolts at 15 n.m (11 lb ft) before shutting the hood.
