How to replace the thermostat on GMC Savana 3500?

First remove the air cleaner along with the duct assembly followed by draining partial coolant volume before removing the coolant recovery reservoir. Start by disconnecting the Radiator Hose from the Thermostat Housing then remove the bolts that connect the Thermostat Housing to the Thermostat before taking out the Thermostat Housing. Clean up the Thermostat Housing gasket mating places before you remove the Thermostat. Start with Thermostat installation before you connect the Thermostat Housing to the Intake Manifold. With 25 nm applied torque tighten bolts securely into the housing. You must install the Radiator Hose to the Thermostat Housing followed by returning the coolant recovery reservoir and the air cleaner with the duct. Replace the cooling system fluid before checking for air in the lines and assessing the condition of both Thermostat Housing and gasket for leaks.
