How to replace the pitman arm on GMC Sierra 1500?

You must begin the process of Pitman Arm replacement by removing the steering gear before fixing it in a vise fixture. Start by removing the Pitman Arm nut along with the washer before pulling off the Pitman Arm from the Pitman Arm shaft through the use of either the Pitman Arm puller (J 6632-01) or (J 29107-A). The new Pitman Arm gets installed onto the steering gear by using both a new Pitman Arm washer and nut . Tighten the nut until reaching 250 nm (184 lb ft). Follow the completion of the task by uninstalling the steering gear from the vise before reinstallation. Adjustment of the front toe must be performed as needed.
