How to replace the Power Steering Cooler with hydroboost on GMC Sierra 1500?

A proper replacement of Power Steering Cooler with hydroboost starts by taking out the radiator grille. Leak all possible power steering fluid from the reservoir before placing drain pans under the vehicle. Disconnect both the Power Steering Cooler hose which attaches to the steering gear along with the hose that connects Power Steering Pump. The bolts securing the Power Steering Cooler need removal before extraction of the cooler from the vehicle. Attach the Power Steering Cooler to its vehicle position and fasten it with bolts that need to be tightened to 9 nm (80 lb in). The Power Steering Pump receives hose for connection and hose attaches to the steering gear. First empty excess liquid from the unit then dispose of drain pans before putting back the radiator grille. To complete the project you should perform a power steering system fill and bleed procedure.
