    Q:
How to replace the Power Steering Cooler with hydroboost on Cadillac Escalade? Posted by Customer
    A:
A necessary first step to convert power steering coolers to hydroboost involves taking off the fascia grille along with any present radiator grille reinforcement support. Deplete most of the power steering fluid from the power steering fluid reservoir and position drain pans underneath the vehicle. Detach the Power Steering Cooler hose from the steering gear and also disconnect hose from the Power Steering Pump. First remove Power Steering Cooler bolts and extract the Power Steering Cooler out of the vehicle. Secure the Power Steering Cooler inside its vehicle installation position by using bolts which should be tightened to 9 nm (80 lb in). Position hose to Power Steering Pump while using hose to connect to steering gear. Purify all surplus fluid while eliminating drain pans from service. Replace the radiator grille reinforcement support (if present) before putting back the fascia grille. The power steering system requires filling before performing a bleeding operation.

    Q:
How to replace the Power Steering Cooler without hydroboost on Cadillac Escalade? Posted by Customer
    A:
The procedure to replace the Power Steering Cooler works without hydroboost begins by removing the fascia grille as well as the radiator grille reinforcement support when available. The technician should empty enough power steering fluid from the reservoir while setting down drain pans beneath the car. Disconnect both components of the power steering system by removing the Power Steering Cooler hose connecting to the Power Steering Cooler and the Power Steering Cooler hose that joins the Power Steering Pump. Steampower technicians should dismount the Power Steering Cooler by removing the bolts beforehand then extracting the unit from the vehicle. Place the new Power Steering Cooler into position and fasten it with bolts while tightening them to 9 nm (80 lb in). Return the Power Steering Cooler hose to connect to the Power Steering Pump while reattaching the power steering gear outlet hose to the Power Steering Cooler. Wipe off all remaining fluid before you eliminate the drain pans and perform a power steering system bleeding and filling. The radiator grille reinforcement support and the fascia grille need to be reinstalled if such components are present in the system.
