    Q:
How to replace the wiper arm on Buick LeSabre? Posted by Customer
    A:
Set the wipers to park position before disconnecting both washer hose and air inlet grille panel. Disconnect the Wiper Arm nut by removing its cover first. You can use a battery terminal puller when manual rocking fails to release the Wiper Arm from the pivot shaft. Use small rapid motions to detach the Wiper Arm securely from its mount on the shaft. Use a thumb to press down the end of the Wiper Blade retaining clip followed by sliding the blade off the Wiper Arm hook. Pull out the Wiper Arm hook through its open position in the Wiper Blade. To install the Wiper Blade you should insert the Wiper Arm into the opening in the Wiper Blade and push it all the way through the clip until you feel it engage. Keep the wiper system in park position before starting to prevent any damage. Activate the wipers and push the control switch to off state to make sure the system is parked correctly. Use a wire brush to clean the Wiper Arm pivot shaft knurls before you put the Wiper Arm on the shaft and center the Wiper Blade over the windshield marks; substitute these marks with position 1 - 107.2 mm (4.22 in) and position 2 - 68.1 mm (2.68 in) when the windshield does not have marks. Fix the nut onto the Wiper Arm and tighten it to 32 n.m using 24 lbft torque. Coat the washer hose with windshield washer solvent to make it easier when you attach it to the fitting on the air inlet grille panel. Then test the wipers and washers by connecting the hose to the fitting before tightening hardware.
