    Q:
How to replace the lower control arm bushings on Chevrolet Astro? Posted by Customer
    A:
Starting the lower Control Arm Bushing replacement requires removal of the Control Arm itself. To succeed in front bushing crimp debonding test with a punch tool users should follow the steps with j 36618-2, j 9519-23, j 36618-4 then j 36618-1. To uninstall the rear bushing without crimp use j 36618-5, j 36618-3, j 36618-2, along with j 9519-23. Follow this process for bushing installation by first applying j 36618 and j 9519-23 tools then performing front bushing crimping when complete. Use the tools j 36618 with j 9519-23 to install the rear bushing followed by the lower Control Arm reinstallation step. Installation and removal of bushings in this repair needs the j 9519-e ball joint remover and installer set together with the j 36618 lower Control Arm Bushing service set.
