A complete replacement of the Camshaft starts by removing the engine unit along with the crankshaft balancer, oil level indicator, left and right exhaust manifolds, water pump, coolant pump manifold, Intake Manifold, valve lifter oil manifold, coolant air bleed pipe, left and right valve Rocker Arm covers, valve rocker arms, pushrods, valve lifters, oil pan-to-front cover bolts, front cover (502) and its gasket (503). Using a wrench, turn the crankshaft until the timing marks (1, 2) meet before removing all bolts from the Camshaft sprocket (206), sprocket (205) and Timing Chain (208). Carefully extract both Camshaft retainer bolts (204) and retainer (203) prior to Camshaft removal. Clean engine oil must be applied to the Camshaft journals and bearings prior to inserting 3 m8-125 x 100 mm bolts through new Camshaft front bolt holes for directing the new Camshaft into the engine block. Follow these installation steps: install the retainer plate with its gasket facing the engine block; maintain a clean surface on the gasket. Set the Camshaft retainer (203) and bolts (204) at 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.) tightening torque. Set the Camshaft sprocket on its locating pin so both sprocket teeth mesh with Timing Chain teeth and the Camshaft and crankshaft sprocket alignment marks align precisely with the Camshaft sprocket alignment mark at 6 o'clock. Gently position both the Camshaft sprocket (205) and Timing Chain (208) in place while verifying proper timing mark alignment. After securing the Camshaft sprocket bolts (206) at 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.) torque. Place the front cover (502) with oil pan-to-front cover bolts properly fitted while tightening them to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). The essential components include reinstalling valve lifters, valve rocker arms, pushrods, left and right valve Rocker Arm covers, coolant air bleed pipe, valve lifter oil manifold, Intake Manifold, coolant pump manifold, water pump, left and right exhaust manifolds, oil level indicator, crankshaft balancer, and the engine.
