The replacement process for the air compressor should start with vehicle lift and support. A thorough cleaning step must precede Air Hose disconnection from the air compressor while performing following steps: turn the ignition on with engine off along with scan tool installation to exhaust system air for 60 seconds. Maintain observance of minimal air volume in tubes. The service technician must disconnect the air tube from both the air dryer and the electrical connection then remove the air inlet and hose from the fuel filler neck bracket. Before removing the air compressor from the vehicle first loosen its mounting nuts then move the unit towards the rear to clear the frame slots. Install the air compressor by positioning it back into the vehicle after you slide it forwards to lock the fasteners into frame slots followed by tightening the bolts to 15 nm (11 lb ft). Link back the air inlet hose to the fuel filler neck bracket and link back the air tube to the air dryer then reconnect the electrical connection . Turn on engine ignition while keeping the vehicle in its lowered position and install a scan tool. Operate the air compressor for 30 seconds until the vehicle's rear section starts to lift. Before you restart the engine run the ignition to off and then on with power activated so the air suspension system can recover its target rear suspension position.

To replace the air compressor, first; lift and hold the vehicle noting to clean the parts and the surrounding area so that dirt will not enter the air setting before detaching the Air Hose from the air compressor. Remove the air tube from the dryer to the air and the electrical connection. Unfasten the mounting nuts and take out the air inlet and hose from the fuel filler neck bracket. Slide the air compressor rearward to clear frame slots and take it off the vehicle. For installation fix the air compressor back to the vehicle sliding it forwards in order to fix the fasteners into the frame slots and the mounting nuts to 15nm (11 lb ft). Install the air inlet hose back into the fuel filler neck bracket, connect the air tube to the air dryer, then reconnect the electrical connection. Turn the ignition and wait for about 45 seconds to have the air adjustable shock absorbers appear complete with residual pressure, then lower the machine.

Vehicle maintenance begins with vehicle elevation together with support to access the air compressor for replacement. The technician cleans surrounding components while avoiding dirt entry to prevent damage to the air system before disconnecting the compressor to the hose. Remove the air tube from its connection to both the air dryer and disconnect the electrical wiring. First disconnect the fuel inlet hose and its air entry port from its mounting bracket on the fuel filler neck before loosening the mounting nuts. Slide the air compressor rearward through the frame slots and lift it out of the vehicle. To install the air compressor just reverse those steps by repositioning it into the vehicle then moving it forward until the fasteners reach the frame slots before tightening the mounting nuts to 15 n.m (11 lb ft). Reconnect the electrical connection after installing the air inlet hose to the fuel filler neck bracket and connecting the air tube to the air dryer. Initiating the ignition first should be followed by a waiting period of .45 seconds to allow the air adjustable shock absorbers to receive residual pressure prior to lowering the vehicle.

Begin by elevating and stabilizing the vehicle before starting the air compressor replacement process. Use a scan tool to exhaust system air for 60 seconds with the engine off while cleaning around components to prevent exterior contamination before disconnecting the Air Hose at the air compressor location. Note that small air pockets will stay inside the tubes. Disconnect the air tube from the air dryer while also disconnecting the electrical connection before removing the air inlet with its hose from the fuel filler neck bracket. You must first loosen the mounting fasteners then move the air compressor backward so it clears the slots of the vehicle frame before you take it out from the vehicle. Position the air compressor inside the vehicle by pulling it toward the front to enter the frame slots and insert the mounting nuts before tightening the bolts to 15 nm (11 lb ft). Reattach the fuel filler neck bracket air inlet hose and the air dryer air tube and the electrical system connection. Turn the ignition on with engine off while following compressor installation by using a scan tool to operate the air compressor for 30 seconds or until the rear of the vehicle begins to rise. Use the scan tool to turn off the ignition and then on again with the engine running to let the air suspension system reach its target rear suspension configuration.
