Pull out the lock actuator from its position on the latch body. To install this assembly begin by connecting the lock actuator to the latch unit followed by placing the whole latch assembly into the door opening. Add the fasteners to the latch assembly before tightening them to 9 n.m (80 lb in). Reinstall the power actuator wiring connector when present before installing both the outside and inside door handle rods and inside door lock rod on the latch assembly. Reinstall the door trim panel along with the water deflector as the last step.

You should tighten the tailgate latch bolts to 10 N.m (88 lb in) torque value. Reset the tailgate latch rod to its position on the tailgate latch before restating the tailgate trim panel.
