Safety measures for replacing the Fuel Level Sensor begin with using forced air while plugging and capping fuel system openings followed by fuel spill cleanup and avoidance of sparks together with warning signs to protect workers in the area. You should start by detaching the Fuel Pump module. Begin by detaching the clip of the Fuel Level Sensor electrical connector then removing the electrical connector itself from under the fuel module cover. First untighten the locking tab before moving the Fuel Level Sensor downwards from the bucket. The installation process starts by placing the Fuel Level Sensor onto the bucket and then gently lifting the locking tab to slide the sensor upward until it reaches the tab. After that, connect the Fuel Level Sensor electrical connector beneath the module cover by pushing it upward until the clip locks into place. Draw the Fuel Pump installation to a completion via installing the module unit.

Avoid damaging the lock ring and do not handle the fuel sender assembly by the fuel pipes.

Using two flat bladed tools, carefully pull both locking tabs outward while lifting the level sensor.

Disconnect the fuel feed rear pipe quick connect fitting from the module and the fuel level sensor wiring harness electrical connectors from the pressure sensor and module.

Push in the electrical terminals with a small bladed tool while pulling them out.
