The first step to replace a front door exterior handle includes removing the trim panel along with the water deflector from the door surface. Remove the outside handle rod-to-lock clip from the lock by using side cutters and unscrew the additional clip sections from the outside handle rod before discarding them. The next step requires removing both the key cylinder rod from the lock and outdoor door handle bolts. The lock cylinder pawl needs to rotate in order to let the outside handle pass through the door handle opening before removing the handle rod from the handle. Position the handle properly on the door then you can install the handle rod to the handle. Reposition the lock cylinder pawl to make the door handle opening accessible before securing outside door handle bolts at 10 N.m (89 lb in). The key cylinder rod should be installed to the lock while a new outside handle rod-to-lock clip should be pressed onto the door lock lever. Press the clipcover on top of the threaded outside door handle rod while securing it in the clip to remove excessive movement. Installation of the water deflector together with the trim panel completes the process.

Before installing the new rear outside door handle you must remove the trim panel, then disconnect the energy absorber pad with the water deflector. Apply side cutters to cut off an outside handle rod-to-lock clip from the lock but discard it before unscrewing the remaining part of the clip from the outside handle rod. Remove the three outside door handle bolts and remove the door handle after you take out the handle from the handle rod . To install this system you should first put the handle rod on the handle before placing both components onto the door. Attach and torque the three outside door handle bolts up to 10 N.m (89 lb in). The installation requires placing a fresh outside handle rod-to-lock clip onto the door lock lever where the rod must align precisely within the clip for minimizing friction. First install the water deflector then the energy absorber pad followed by the trim panel while already having installed the clip cover over the threaded outside door handle rod.

First step to replace the front door interior handle consists of raising the window completely and removing the trim panel with caution to observe standard shop procedures while wearing protective eyewear to avoid injuries. When removing the riveted door handle begin by supporting its rear side while you extract the mandrel before using a center punch to eliminate the rivet mandrel and drilling the door handle rivet with a 6.35 mm (1/4 in) drill bit. After opening the handle clip users can detach the lock rod and handle rod from the inside door handle to allow complete handle removal. Install the new door handle by first setting the tabs within the door frame then connecting the rod to the handle through the clip while finishing with the rod for the lock in a similar fashion. To finish the process install a new rivet for the door handle then put back the trim panel followed by window closure.

Starting the replacement of the rear side door outside handle requires users to raise the window all the way before removing the rear door water deflector. Start by uninstalling the Door Handle bracket along with its nut from the inside. Rotate the handle toward the top to separate it from the door. The Door Handle rod needs to be detached from the Door Lock and Door Handle needs to be removed from both components before removing the Door Handle rod. You should initially attach the Door Handle rod to the Door Handle before placing the Door Handle inside the door. Screw the bracket onto the outside Door Handle then fasten the outside Door Handle nut until it reaches 10 n.m (89 lb in). To finish the installation process connect the Door Handle rod with the Door Lock Actuator before putting back the water deflector.

A center punch.

Remove the rear door water deflector and the rear door energy absorber pad.

Install the bolts and tighten them to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

Open the handle clip to detach the lock rod and the handle rod from the handle.

Adhere to standard shop practices, especially wearing eye protection, to prevent personal injury.

Reinstall the energy absorber pad and the water deflector.

Open the handle clip.

Install a new rivet, followed by the water deflector and the trim panel.

Rotate the handle to clear the opening and detach the handle rod from the handle.

Take out the two screws securing the rear door lock and the screw for the rear door inside handle.

Reinstall the front door water deflector.

Remove the door outside handle bolts and the door outside handle.

Detach the door outside handle rod from the door lock actuator and the door lock cylinder rod from the front door lock cylinder.

Attach the rod to the door inside handle, then secure it with the screw, ensuring it is fully driven, seated, and not stripped.
