The procedure to replace the front door exterior handle requires complete window lift followed by front door trim panel removal before proceeding with the water deflector. The next step includes removing both lock rods from their connection to the lock device before taking out the rear run channel of the door. You must remove the nuts together with the bracket which holds the outside Door Handle to the door so you can pull out the handle. Position the outside Door Handle onto the door opening and fasten it with the nuts and bracket . The installation requires nuts to reach 11 n.m (97 lb in) torque strength as indicated in the fastener notice. When installation is complete you should place the front door trim panel and reinstall the water deflector first followed by attaching the lock rods to the lock and reinstalling the rear run channel before putting the outside Door Handle back on and securing it with the bracket followed by nuts and tightening them at 11 n.m (97 lb in) according to the fastener notice.

Starting the front door exterior handle replacement process requires total window elevation and subsequent removal of the front door trim panel. Start by removing the water deflector before taking out the lock rods from the lock mechanism. Use upward movements on the rear run channel to get access to the outside Door Handle securing nuts. After extracting the nuts along with the bracket you can remove the outside Door Handle from the door. Remove the outside Door Handle from the door after the handle is removed from its place. Start by placing the outside Door Handle directly onto the door surface followed by lifting the rear run channel to reach the handle studs and installing the nuts with bracket for handle attachment. The nuts should be installed onto the outside Door Handle before they are tightened to 11 nm (97 lb in). You must reconnect the lock rods to the lock before installing the water deflector and finally the front door trim panel.

Reinstall the water deflector.

Remove the rivet located at the rear edge of the rear door inside handle and slide the handle forward to detach it from the right rear door.

Position the outside door handle onto the door and secure it with the nuts and bracket.

Remove the sliding side door inside handle from the sliding side door control assembly and take it out of the vehicle.

Align the tabs on the handle with the slots in the door and slide the handle rearward to engage it properly.

Position the outside door handle back onto the door and secure it with the bracket and nuts.

Attach the lock rod and door handle rod to the inside door handle.

Install the rivet at the rear edge of the handle and reinstall the right side rear door trim panel.

First, remove the front door trim panel and the front door water deflector.

Align the inside door handle bezel with the front door trim plate and press it towards the door trim panel to engage the retaining tab.

Take off the nuts securing the right side rear door outside door handle and license pocket assembly.

Use the Door Handle Clip Remover (J 9886-01) to release the retaining clip on the sliding side door inside handle.

Ensure the tabs on the handle align with the slots in the door.

Detach the lock rods from the lock and remove the nuts securing the right side rear door outside door handle and license pocket assembly.

Remove the nuts and the bracket that secure the outside door handle to the sliding side door.

Attach it to the control assembly.

Carefully take out the assembly, which includes the anti-theft shield, from the right rear door.

First, remove the front door trim panel and the front door water deflector.

Attach the new sliding side door outside handle to the door, ensuring to follow the Fastener Notice.

Tighten the nuts to 11 Nm (97 lb in).

Remove the nuts and the bracket that secure the outside door handle to the sliding side door.

First, remove the side rear door trim panel.

Remove the inside handle from the sliding side door control assembly and then take it out of the vehicle.

Press on the sliding side door inside handle to engage the retaining clip.

Reinstall the sliding side door control assembly and the sliding door lower trim panel.
