    Q:
How to replace the Power Steering Hose on GMC Acadia? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step when exchanging a Power Steering Cooler pipe/hose requires vehicle hoisting while placing drain pans beneath relevant components. The technician should disconnect the Power Steering Cooler pipe from the power steering fluid cooler after loosening the Power Steering Cooler pipe clamp. The power steering gear outlet hose bracket bolt needs removal along with the power steering gear outlet hose clamp which should be discarded. Disconnect the Power Steering Cooler pipe from the power steering gear outlet hose (3,4) while removing the plastic retaining clips from the Power Steering Cooler pipe which can be discarded. Remove the Power Steering Cooler pipe from its position on the vehicle. The installation process includes placing the new Power Steering Cooler pipe correctly then applying a new clamp for the pipe. Combine the Power Steering Cooler pipe with the power steering gear outlet hose (3,4) while installing the power steering gear outlet hose bracket bolt with 9 n.m (80 lb in) torque specification. The installation of the Power Steering Cooler pipe requires connection to the power steering fluid cooler followed by proper tightening of the Power Steering Cooler pipe clamp . The technician needs to clean surplus fluid from the vehicle before removing drain pans and performing power steering system filling and bleeding.
