    You should detach the retainer strap located on the backside of the fender splash shield before removing each retainer from the front and rear of the fender splash shield. You should first remove the rear wheelhouse fender splash shield from the vehicle after detaching the various components. Position the new rear wheelhouse fender splash shield onto the vehicle so you can install its retainers to the rear portion and torque them to 1.7 N.m (15 lb in). Add the retainers to the front of the fender splash shield and secure them to 1.7 N.m (15 lb in) after which attach the retainer strap to the backside of the fender splash shield.

    Start by removing the retainer strap from the inner panel extension backside before taking retainers off both front and rear points of the inner panel extension. Remove the rear wheelhouse inner panel extension from the vehicle after you pull off both the retainer strap from its rear side as well as front and rear retainers. Panels and retainers should be installed onto the rear wheelhouse inner panel extension through positioning it on the vehicle and securing the retainers at 1.7 N.m (15 lb in). Install and firmly secure the retainers on the inner panel extension front at 1.7 N.m (15 lb in). Put the retainer strap on the inner panel extension backside as the last installation step.

The removal procedure starts by removing the retainer strap at the backside of the inner panel extension followed by taking out the retainers from the front and rear of the extension. Afterward, remove the rear wheelhouse inner panel extension from the vehicle. First attach the rear wheelhouse inner panel extension to the vehicle using the instructions from the Fastener Notice in Service Precautions. Start by installing retainers to the rear side of the inner panel extension then tighten them by 1.7 N.m (15 lb in) followed by repeating the procedure to attach front retainers by 1.7 N.m (15 lb in). The last step involves placing the retainer strap on the inner panel extension backside.
