Installation of a new power seat switch begins with disabling the SIR system for both driver and passenger seats while bearing in mind the Inflatable Restraints Passenger Presence System on the bottom seat cushion which demands a preload check after seat cover or trim repairs. The power seat switch becomes accessible after removing the adjuster track seat cushion for the driver to access it with a flat-bladed tool that can gently pry the knobs free. Pressurize and loosen the retainers which secure the power seat switch bezel to the seat cushion frame for removal of the bezel. First access the power seat switch by freeing the J channel retainers then take off the push-in fastener to detach the power seat switch from its seat cushion frame position before sliding the switch outward. Disconnect the electrical connector from the power seat switch while paying attention to the correct wiring path to prevent damages. To install the power seat switch position the wiring harness just like it sat before and join the electrical connector to the switch then place the switch inside the frame. The seat cushion frame requires a push-in fastener to secure the switch before installing the J channel retainers and placing the cover back on the switch. Work to position the power seat switch bezel over the switches after which fasteners must be used to maintain its position on the seat cushion frame and reinstall power seat switch knobs. Complete seat cushion installation while the SIR system must be enabled and the passenger presence system preload test must be executed for repaired passenger seats.

The first step to replace the power seat switch involves SIR system deactivation. Any work that requires removing passenger seat cover or trim will need a preload check of the Inflatable Restraints Passenger Presence System attached to the seat cushion. Use a flat-bladed tool to gently remove the knobs from the power seat switch while accessing it through the adjuster track by removing the seat cushion. Squeeze the retainers located under the seat cushion to remove the power seat switch bezel which fastens to the frame through prying action. The power seat switch bezel becomes accessible after you have removed its retainers from the J channel. Protect the electrical wiring as you remove the push-in fastener holding the power seat switch to the seat cushion frame before sliding out the switch. The power seat switch requires disconnection of its electrical connector. When installing the wiring harness you should returned it to its original position while connecting the electrical connector to the power seat switch then placing the switch back into the seat cushion frame. Use the push-in fastener to secure the switch before you put back the J channel retainers and replace the open space with the seat cushion cover. The power seat switch bezel should be positioned over the switches before installation of fasteners that will secure it to the seat cushion frame. After completion reinstall the power seat switch knobs together with the seat cushion. Any passenger seat repair work must end with enabling the SIR system followed by running the passenger presence system preload test while strictly adhering to the control module references for setup and programming procedures.

Before replacing the power seat switch, users need to disable the SIR system. Before access to the power seat switch becomes possible by taking off the seat cushion from the adjuster track you must gently pry off the knobs with a flat bladed tool. Pull the bezel retainers that connect the power seat switch bezel to the seat cushion frame while gently squeezing them and then remove both bezel pieces from the frame. The J channel retainers must be released to reach the power seat switch. After that remove the switch from the seat cushion frame by pulling out the push-in fastener. Pay attention to the wiring's proper route in order to prevent any damage occurring. Detach the electrical connector which powers the power seat switch. To install this part align the wiring harness like it was previously positioned and attach the electrical connector to the power seat switch followed by placing the switch into the seat cushion frame. Place the push-in fastener on the switch before applying the seat cushion cover. Fit the power seat switch bezel on top of the switches before tightening fasteners to lock it on the seat cushion frame. Put back the power seat switch knobs followed by the seat cushion and complete the process by re-enabling the SIR system.

Use a flat-bladed tool to disengage the locking tabs from both sides of the switch and remove the lock switch.

Snap the door lock switch into the door switch bezel, connect the electrical connector, insert the rear of the door lock switch into the door trim panel, and press down on the front of the door lock switch to engage it with the door trim panel.

Cover the switch with the seat cushion cover, position the power seat switch bezel over the switches, engage the fasteners, install the power seat switch knobs, reinstall the seat cushion, and enable the SIR system.

First, remove the body side rear trim panel.

Reinstall the body side rear trim panel and calibrate the seat as needed.

Calibrate the seat as needed.

Take off the finish side panel and disconnect the electrical connector from the seat switch.

Disconnect the electrical connector to the lumbar switch.

Take off the finish side panel and disconnect the electrical connector from the seat switch.

Disconnect the electrical connector from the seat switch.

First, remove the seat assembly.

Position the seat switch onto the finish panel and push to engage the retainers.

Take out the folding seat switch from the trim panel.

Disconnect the electrical connector from the seat switch.

Place the folding seat switch back into the trim panel and then reinstall the body side rear trim panel.

Enable the SIR system.
