Oil Tube

The replacement process for oil level indicator and tube begins by stepping through removal of the air cleaner assembly while dealing with the retaining bolt from the coolant recovery reservoir before putting the reservoir to the side. Start with tube removal of the oil level indicator before removing the oil level indicator tube bolt attached to the oil fill tube retaining bracket and finally taking out the oil level indicator tube from the lower tube. The o-ring seal can stay in use when no signs of cuttings or damages are present. First remove the o-ring seal from the tube. Afterwards remove the lower oil fill tube bolt from the engine block and detach the lower oil fill tube. Clean engine oil should be used to lubricate an o-ring seal before placing it onto the lower oil level indicator tube which should be positioned behind the exhaust manifold. First support the raised vehicle while you put in the lower oil level indicator tube into the block positioning its collar directly against the block. Reduce the vehicle afterward. Secure the lower oil level indicator tube bolt through proper tightening to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). Secure the upper oil level indicator tube at the retaining bracket and use the bolt to activate a 10 nm (88 inch lbs.) torque value. To finish the replacement, put the coolant recovery reservoir in place and bolt it down followed by air cleaner assembly installation.

First, remove the engine cover and the bolt holding the coolant recovery reservoir, then set the reservoir aside.

Install the upper oil level indicator tube into the lower oil fill tube and secure the upper oil fill tube into the retaining bracket, tightening the bolt to 10 Nm (88 inch lbs.).

Position the tube behind the exhaust manifold.

Inspect the O-ring seal for any cuts or damage, and remove it if necessary.

Install the oil level indicator tube bolt and tighten it to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).

Reposition the coolant recovery reservoir and install the retaining bolt, followed by the air cleaner assembly.
