You must first unfasten the bracket nut of the A/C line before separating the A/C line bracket from the oil level indicator tube stud. Begin by detaching the 02 sensor electrical connector from the oil level indicator bracket and then remove the oil level indicator tube stud until it frees the indicator from its position inside the tube. Finally extract the tube from the block. The first step of installation requires operators to place the oil level indicator tube inside the engine block before applying GM P/N 12346004 (Canadian P/N 10953480) sealant to the oil level indicator tube stud threads while following the provided fastener notice in service precautions. Secure the oil level indicator tube stud using 10 Nm torque while tightening it with a wrench. Fasten the A/C line bracket onto the oil level indicator tube using the nut while torquing the connection to 7 Nm (6 inch lbs.). The last steps involve connecting the 02 sensor electrical connector and fitting the oil level indicator into its tube.

Reconnect the O2 sensor electrical connector and install the oil level indicator into the tube.

Disconnect the oxygen (O2) sensor electrical connector from the oil level indicator bracket and remove the oil level indicator tube stud.

Finally, attach the oil level indicator to the tube and reinstall the cylinder number 2 spark plug and wire.

First, remove the A/C line bracket nut and detach the A/C line bracket from the oil level indicator tube stud.

Insert the oil level indicator tube into the engine block and apply sealant GM P/N 12346004 (Canadian P/N 10953480) to the oil level indicator tube stud threads.

Finally, reconnect the O2 sensor electrical connector and install the oil level indicator into the tube.

Reattach the A/C line bracket to the oil level indicator tube and secure it with the nut, tightening it to 7 N.m (6 lb in).

Finally, reconnect the O2 sensor electrical connector and install the oil level indicator into the tube.
