How to replace the front brake calipers on 2000 Buick LeSabre?

Two-thirds of brake fluid must be drained from the master cylinder before performing front brake caliper replacement. Place the vehicle on supports at its proper height before securing it for maintenance. Move the wheel assembly along with the tire to a different location. Position a large c-clamp on top of the caliper housing while facing the back of the outboard pad. Gradually tighten the clamp to push the caliper piston into the bore until this allows caliper removal from the rotor. Before performing caliper repair remove the bolt from the inlet fitting then use a plug to prevent fluid loss and prevent contamination of the system. To proceed forward remove the caliper pin bolts (1,2) while moving the caliper away from the wheel. Place the caliper over the brake pads into the caliper anchor bracket before installing and tightening caliper pin bolts (1,2) to 85 nm (63 ft. Lbs.). Install the inlet fitting on the caliper before torquing the bolt connection to 45 nm (33 ft. Lbs.). After bleeding the brake system install the wheel assembly before lowering the vehicle.
