How to Replace a Rear Brake Line on a Drum Brake System on 2000 Buick Regal?

Start your work by securely lifting and holding up the vehicle. After lifting the car put it on stands. Clean the brake hoses and their connections before removing the wheel and tire assembly. Apply a back up wrench to disconnect brake pipes from the brake hose but do not curve the parts or brace assembly. Release the brake hose retainers from its connections on the bracket system to pull out the hose structure from both brackets. Position the new brake hose through the brackets without bends to fit properly. Line the hose fitting with its relative bracket notch while following the hose stripe to direct placement. Join the brake hose to the brake pipe through the back up wrench while keeping the fittings and bracket straight. Then tighten the fittings until they reach 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs. torque). Put back the rear tire and wheel and then complete brake bleeding on the vehicle followed by attaching wingnuts to the hose brackets.
